About the Event
How do I log my miles?
You can log your miles through Strava or Fitbit. Once you have registered for the event you will create your profile page. On here you'll find a " My fitness activity" tab, and here you'll be able to connect your device. Total miles you've clocked up will be added automatically if you are using Fitbit/Strava, though it might take up to a day to synch your new totals.
Do I have to use an app to log my miles?
You don’t have to use an app. You can also manually add your miles through your event profile.
Do I have to do all my miles at once?
No, you don’t need to do all your miles at once. You can choose to complete your miles at any time to fit around your schedule.
But is it safe for me to go outside at the moment?
Please follow all government (https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus) and World Health Organisation (https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019) guidance for leaving your home.
What happens if we don’t reach the finish by 31st March 2021?
The incredible miles that all our supporters contribute to the relay should get us to our finish line by the end of March. (You can track our collective progress on the home page!) If we don't quite get there in time, we can always extend the deadline - but hopefully, we might even get there sooner...
Where does my £13 registration fee go?
Right from the start, your registration fee of £13 could be funding the training for one family in rural Africa to create a "Tip Tap" so they can wash their hands and keep their family safe.

About Send a Cow
What difference will my sponsorship make?
Hygiene has always been a central part of our work. Clean hands mean healthy communities, which is why Send a Cow works to improve access to clean water and sanitation in projects in rural Africa. Where families don’t have clean water close to home, tip taps can be made from readily available materials. Tip taps enable families to safely wash their hands, by pressing a lever with their feet.
Your £60 sponsorship could provide a family with lifesaving hygiene training and skills. Our training equips families with the knowledge and skills to build a tip tap to help wash their hands safely, harvest rainwater to use during the dry months and build a simple, clean latrine.
“Now there are no eye infections, no sickness and no diarrhoea. I don’t remember the last time I had to take one of my children to hospital” - Sylvia, Uganda
Take part in our virtual relay and help us get clean water to families in rural Africa.
