Relay for Hope via Everest

Did you know, that by the second week in January, the average person in the UK will have created a greater carbon footprint than a single person in Ethiopia will account for in a whole year? Those who have contributed the least, are suffering the most from the effects of the climate crisis.

A focus of Send a Cow has always been to help farmers cope with erratic and unpredictable weather. I have seen for myself the impact of Send a Cow projects. I know that funding, however small will help ensure that the most vulnerable will not be left behind

2021 has been an extra ordinary year but 11 projects were completed and  9 new projects started. Covid continues to devastate East Africa so never before has work with the families and communities been more important.

Climate crisis and poverty are inextricably linked. For my part, I am aim to reduce my carbon footprint by walking or cycling locally, when I may have used the car. To start I will have a target of 3 miles a day ; not much, but a walk up the back of the house  is an elevation of 700 feet. 42 times  and I will have climbed Everest!

Please help me reach my target of £650. This will provide 32 families living in rural Africa with vital tools, seeds, and training in sustainable farming, soil health, and rainwater harvesting, so they can stand up to extreme weather and grow enough to combat hunger.
